Apple is going to release the next level of their mobile operating system which is iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 in their annual developer conference which is going to be held on June 7 on 2021.
It is rumored that Apple is going to revamp their users’ experiences on their mobile devices. They may change the notification handling on the iPhones, changes on the iPads’ Home Screen, an updated lock screen, and also enhanced privacy protection for flagship devices.
Apple has planned to include the above changes in iOS 15 iPadOS 15, which are upcoming major software updates for iPhones and iPads.
Apple is planning to add a new feature that will allow users to set different kinds of notification preferences, such as whether the phone makes a sound or not (Silent Mode on or off), depending on their current status. The enhancements would take the form of a new menu that allows users to choose whether they are driving, working, sleeping, or in one of their own custom categories. The menu will appear on the modified Lock Screen as well as in Control Center, the iPhone, and iPad’s settings menu.
There will also be an option to set automatic replies to messages depending on their current status. That will be an improvement over the current auto-reply feature, which is only currently available while driving. Apple has added some unique notification features such as Do Not Disturb and Sleep Mode, but this will mark the first time the company offers a systemwide feature for changing notifications depending on a user’s status.
They are also working on upgrades to iMessage with the eventual goal of acting as more of a social network and better competing with Facebook Inc.’s WhatsApp. Those changes are still early in development and could come later, the people said.
